48 Hours In Paris [City Of Love]
City of lights or love whatever you call it, Paris is a dream’s land that everyone should experience once in their lifetime. But getting around this fascinating city is no easy task; with around 20 administrative districts you are bounded to scratch your head where to visit. Therefore we have shortlisted some of the best things to do in the city especially when running low on time.
Eiffel Tower
One of the seven wonder and symbol of love across the
globe, statue of Iron lady is the most iconic monument of recent history. One
has to climb fair number of stairs to reach top of the tower, with each step
you get more amazing view of the city.
Also to keep your tummy full there are
plenty of good restaurants at first and second floor. Luckily for those who
wants to avoid steps, there is an option of taking elevator either way you are
not going to be alone.
There are 50 thousand bulbs on Eiffel tower which
lightens it during the night time but sadly one can catch the view of the tower
through eyes only because taking photo at night is strictly prohibited.
Fun Fact- On average more than 30 thousand people climb
Eiffel tower each day.
Arc De Triomphe
At 164 feet high by 148 feet wide, it's the second-largest
triumphal arch standing today. It was constructed
by Napoleon as a reflection for his historic victories against his enemies. Arc De Triomphe was constructed in 30
years and ironically 15 years after the death of Napoleon.
By simply looking at
the triumphal you can dive into the past, Relief sculptures at the base of each of the four pillars show four
victories and war scenes; the top of the arch has the names of major
successes during the Revolutionary and Napoleonic periods. Less important
victories can be found on the inside walls.
Cruise on River Seine
The Seine has always been and forever will be the artery that runs
through the heart of Paris. It is one of
the best ways to get the full taste of city of lights. There are many different
cruises which provide you the tour of the city.
These short river cruises allow you to take in many of the highlights of
the city—the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Musée d’Orsay, Notre Dame
Cathedral, etc in one go. They usually last for an hour
or two and some of them even offer you meals on board.
But
problem lies with the fact that there are many cruise operating companies in
the city offering almost the same route, so question comes in our mind which
companies are providing the value deal for your romantic cruise trip. Luckily
