Algeria, located in North Africa is the largest country of the African continent. This fossil rich country is becoming a new travel zone these days for tourist globally. Country of cherries and dates has 7 UNESCO sites and is home to many interesting architectural sites.
Country has lots of diversity for new arrivals coming to this beautiful nation with Sahara Desert in the south, world class beaches along the Mediterranean sea in the north and high rising mountains for hiking and skiing during winters. This former french colony is the place to go this vacation. So here's the list of best places to travel when in Algeria.
Algiers
Capital of
the country, Algiers is the best place to start exploring this beautiful
nation. Start your day with paying the visit to tall Martyrs’ Memorial; it was built for commemorating the brave
Algerians who were killed during the war of independence against the French. This
massive memorial is the reflection of how Algeria became free from its colonial
rule. After taking some good photos at memorial you should take the cable car
to Hamma Botanical Garden, it will
cost you 170 dinars to enter the place. The garden is about 2 century old and
is home to more than 1200 species of flowers. Take your time wondering this
huge 50 acre garden; it is the best place to relax in this metropolitan city.
As soon you come out of botanical garden you will see fine art museum do check
it out.
Now it’s
time to go to the old part of the city and first visit Palais De
Rais this place was built around 15th century
and one can get stunning view of Mediterranean sea. This place is a hidden gem
and actually very few people know about this place. Moving forward to my most
exciting place of the city Casbah of Algiers;
it is been inhabited from 2 thousand AD and more than 50 thousand people call
this place their home, it is a UNESCO world heritage site. Walls of the casbah
are full of amazing stories and tell us a lot about the past of the country. My
personal suggestion would be, bring someone who knows the thin lanes of casbah
or else you are bounded to get lost.

Constantine
city or popularly known as bridge city of Algeria is one of the best places to

this city from Algiers. It is one of the oldest cities of Africa. As soon you arrive
in the city go to the Prince Abdulkader
Mosque; it is one of the oldest mosque of Algeria. The old design and the
special architecture makes the mosque a must watch place in Constantine, after
which you should visit the French street one of the oldest and main street of
the city. Here you can buy some traditional sweets for your loved ones.
Now it
is time to visit most iconic place of the city Gorge Bridge, through this bridge one can enjoy full view of city
and at night the bridge is fully covered in lights making it really beautiful
to watch. If you fear height, looking down from the bridge will surely take
your breath away. It will make you wonder how tiny actually you are in front of
it. Le Monument Aux Morts; is
another view point that this city has offer. It represents the deaths of
Algerian soldier during the world war one. Weather is also one of the perks of
visiting this city. Surely it will make you wonder as if you are in some
European city.
